Microsoft sending out invites for Surface event, and teases ‘one more thing’

Today, however, the company sent out new invites for the event with a new teaser image.

Microsoft is teasing what it might announce at its 2 October event in NY. It has the Surface logo and what appears to be a shape of a processor.

In late August, we learned Microsoft was planning its next Surface event for October 2nd - although the fact that it was announcing hardware was more of an assumption than an official confirmation. Perhaps Microsoft will debut a AMD-powered Surface Laptop? We've also heard rumblings of a Surface speaker. According to The Verge, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella is expected to join Panay on stage for the presentation hinting that there could be something special revealed. For reference, Nadella didn't attend last autumn's Surface event.

O'Rourke: 'Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15'
Cain tweeted "My AR is ready for you Robert Francis" shortly after O'Rourke gave his answer, using O'Rourke's given name. He added that he went to a gun show in Arkansas where, he said, "You might be surprised".

We're also expecting to see Microsoft give us at least a look at what it's been cooking up with the rumored "Project Centaurus", which is said to be a dual-screen foldable device between eight and 12 inches.

It might be just a simple coincidence or superstition, but Microsoft has just confirmed that new Surface devices will be revealed on October 2, the same day that the current generation of Surface devices have been unveiled a year ago.

Microsoft will be hosting an event in New York City on October 2.
