Dorian reached wind speeds of 185mph on Sunday and hit the Bahamas as a Category 5 storm. "Left them behind! Why??", Meg Green tweeted, via the Miami Herald.

Disney did not confirm the number, but on the Disney Cruise Line website, it is noted that 60 employees live year-round on Castaway Cay, its 1,000-acre private resort. Green has since deleted her Twitter account.

Top sustained winds have decreased slightly to 165 miles per hour, but is still a powerful and very risky storm.

Disney Cruise Line was fully prepared for bad weather conditions and the island has a hurricane shelter which staff did remain in safely with enough supplies such as food and water.

"Our thoughts continue to be with the people in areas of The Bahamas that are being impacted by this storm and we stand ready to contribute to recovery efforts".

David Price returned from the injured list (cyst on left wrist) to pitch for the first time since August 4 in NY . During the eight-game road trip, Martinez went 14-for-31 (.452) with six homers, two doubles, 18 RBIs and 11 runs.

Dorian is the most powerful storm to hit the Bahamas since records began and will later move "dangerously close" to the United States east coast.

As of their 11am EDT (4pm BST) update, Dorian is now a Category 4 storm on the five-step Saffir-Simpson Wind Scale, is located about 110 miles (180 km) east of West Palm Beach, Florida, with maximum sustained winds of 155 miles per hour, the NHC said.

Hundreds of thousands of people have also been evacuated from their homes as Dorian begins to approach the east coast of the US and a state of emergency has been declared in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

The NHC said the hurricane would move dangerously close to Florida on late on Monday through Tuesday night.
