Samsung is proclaiming that the long-awaited Galaxy Fold is "now available" - at least in its home country of Korea, where it'll finally be delivered on Friday, September 6.

Instead, Samsung's home market of South Korea will be the first place you can buy the company's almost $2,000 foldable phone.

Samsung Australia tell us that the Galaxy Fold will launch in Australia with local pricing and availability to be confirmed closer to local launch.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is certainly one of the most interesting smartphones to be announced in the past few years, but its original release was cancelled after review units sent to press starting breaking after a few days.

An announcement for the U.S. reveals we can expect the device "in the coming weeks" in two colors - Cosmos Black and Space Silver - but doesn't mention anything about 5G. It boasts a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display on the inside and a smaller 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED screen on the outside.
