Henrikh Mkhitaryan, a 30-year-old midfielder of the Armenian national team and Arsenal, is now undergoing a medical examination at Villa Stuart private hospital in Rome.

Mkhitaryan, 30, came off the bench during Sunday's 2-2 draw with Tottenham at the Emirates, but it could turn out to be his final contribution in an Arsenal shirt if he completes the move to Roma.

Mkhitaryan joined Arsenal in January 2018 as part of the swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez join Manchester United.

Mkhitaryan rose to prominence whilst at Borussia Dortmund and made 140 appearances in three seasons in Germany.

Mkhitaryan has scored nine goals in 56 appearances since joining Arsenal in January 2018 and is now set to join former Manchester United team-mate Chris Smalling in Rome after the England global joined on loan last week.

The Armenian star made a move to Manchester United in the summer of 2016, but he found it hard to settle down before joining Arsenal.

Mkhitaryan, who could not wait to give his fans a glimpse of how the ceremony went down, took to his Instagram to share a photo of the wedding venue.
