'Time is of the essence,' United Nations nuclear chief tells Iran

Iran possible violates JCPOA again

Iran possible violates JCPOA again

Iran on Saturday said it now uses arrays of advanced centrifuges that were prohibited by the 2015 nuclear deal and can enrich uranium "much more beyond" current levels to weapons-grade material, taking its the third step away from the accord while saying Europe has little time to offer it new terms.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is investigating the particles' origin and has asked Iran to explain the traces.

Tehran has not yet responded to the IAEA's specific request for answers, according to the diplomats interviewed by Reuters, stoking more tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Iran has pleaded for help from Europe to dodge the sanctions but efforts by Britain, France and Germany have largely proved unsuccessful.

It was nearly exactly a year ago that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed the location, including Global Positioning System coordinates, of a "secret atomic warehouse" outside Tehran.

Iran has said that notwithstanding its reduction of commitments under the JCPOA, it will continue to allow access to IAEA inspectors who monitor its nuclear programme.

And Americans should be asking why their country's news media organizations are being so conspicuously pro-war in their reporting on the US-Iran dispute.

In this photo released by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, spokesman of the organization, Behrouz Kamalvandi, speaks in a news briefing in Tehran, Iran, on September 7, 2019. "There are lots of possible explanations", one of them told Reuters.

Both the IAEA and U.S. intelligence services believe Iran had a nuclear weapons programme that it ended more than a decade before the deal. Apparently no request for comment was sent to Prime Minister Netanyahu.

The services will be suspended in Karachi the major cities of the country as part of security arrangements for Youm-e-Ashur. Similar processions of Tazia and Zuljinah were also taken out in Hangu, Parachinar, Kohat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan.

European allies who opposed the USA withdrawal have tried to help Iran circumvent U.S. sanctions and keep the deal alive, but Iran says these efforts have been insufficient so far.

Israeli intelligence agents translated the files and provided the information to world powers in order to enlighten and warn them about the violations of the nuclear deal that Iran had been carrying out, along with the highly advanced nuclear technology that had already taken place prior to the JCPOA negotiations that Iran had lied about in the first place.

It was not immediately clear, however - and has not been since Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu first touted the facility as evidence Iran tried to hide a nuclear weapons program - whether the materials at the Tehran facility predated the 2015 accord or showed any violation of it.

"Israel knows what you're doing, Israel knows when you're doing it, and Israel knows where you're doing it", Netanyahu said.

Feruta was to tell the board that the IAEA "continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear material declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement".

Uranium traces could indicate, for example, the former presence of equipment or material somehow connected to those particles.

Cornel Feruta, the IAEA's acting director-general, met Iranian officials on Sunday. But it did say Iran's cooperation could be better.

The deal provided economic incentives to Tehran for assurances that its nuclear power program would only be used for peaceful purposes.

Iran says it will not negotiate until it is granted relief from USA sanctions, which France is trying to broker.
