The airline is also adding the only direct service between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Auckland, New Zealand, which will increase connecting opportunities for more customers across the United States.

Air New Zealand recently announced it would axe its long-standing Los Angeles-London service and start non-stop flights between Auckland and NY 's Newark Liberty International Airport from October 29, 2020.

Alongside the new routes, American has also revealed the airline's seasonal Auckland to Los Angeles service will resume three weeks earlier in 2020 on October 7.

The carrier will launch the only nonstop route between Los Angeles and Christchurch in October 2020, with a three times weekly service operating from October 2020 until March 2021.

While Auckland and the United States are already connected fairly well, many oneworld-loyalists will likely find the new flight from Auckland to Dallas useful. Besides 186 economy class seats, the aircraft features 28 premium economy and 20 business class seats.
