The Letwin amendment passed 322-306 and Boris Johnson sent the letter to the European Union asking for a Brexit extension today but the drama is just beginning.

"We've said in terms of [trade] from NI to GB that it will be frictionless and so there wouldn't be [declaration forms]", said Mr. Barclay in response to a question put to him by Labour Party peer, Lord Wood.

One person, seemingly frustrated at the DUP's intransigence tweeted: "No to the NI arrangements, no to CU, no to a confirmatory referendum but we want to leave on the 31st".

Further customs union amendments on the Brexit bill would not be ruled out, a further DUP source said as quoted by the Telegraph.

Ahead of that vote, Speaker of the House, John Bercow, will reveal whether he will accept a Meaningful Vote (MV) on the Brexit deal.

"DUP MPs supported the Letwin amendment as the only avenue available to properly scrutinise the deal on offer and attempt to secure changes that could address some of the concerns we have".

That's why it's related. "When you play good in some departments, pressing high is good and intense, we concede really few". The Spaniard said: "We are good enough, we are strong enough, I think we believe in that".

It has been speculated the DUP could go as far as supporting a second referendum and even backing remain to block Mr Johnson's plans.

He has said that he will not negotiate a delay with the EU. "If the Prime Minister remains willing to achieve that outcome he will find DUP MPs as willing partners in that project".

Sir Keir Starmer said his party's "door is open" to the party.

For markets there are two factors in play here, with the beneficial effects of mitigating the potential for a no-deal scenario being overshadowed by the message this tells traders about Johnson's hopes of passing his bill.

MPs from the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) may join forces with Britain's opposition coalition to back customs union amendment, shuttering United Kingdom prime minister Boris Johnson's Brexit plans, according to reports.

"Letwin's delay amendment turned Saturday into a meaningless vote and denied MPs and the public the chance to end the uncertainty", the Downing Street said in a statement.
