Eagles’ Zach Brown calls Kirk Cousins ‘weakest part’ of the Vikings offense

"I realized when I was in Washington, he was kind of careless with the ball", said Brown, who signed a one-year deal with the Eagles last spring.

Brown isn't wrong - but it's interesting to see him lean into his Redskins days to throw out some hits here.

The Vikings have shifted from a pass-heavy offense to a run-oriented attack this season and it has paid off to a degree. As the only National Football League team with back to back to back road games this season (thanks, Phillies), the Eagles have quite a tough stretch coming up, beginning with the Minnesota Vikings this week.

Brown knows what he's talking about - although he certainly could have pointed out the Vikings' pass protection is anything but stable - having been on the same Washington team as Cousins in 2017. Getting off to a 4-2 start would be ideal for the Eagles as they can remain at the top of the NFC East, but it's not going to be easy.

Typhoon Hagibis: Japan deploys military rescuers as deadly storm hits
Japan's weather agency issued their highest level of disaster warning over the "unprecedented" downpours. Fifteen others are missing, Japan's chief government spokesman Yoshihide Suga told The Associated Press.

"At some point, you're not going to be able to run the ball for 180 yards, even with the best running back in the NFL", Thielen said.

They're able to get an early lead, force the Vikings into situations where they have to make tough throws on third-and-long and turn red zone trips into touchdowns, not field goals. So it might be that he thinks little of Washington more than he thinks little of Cousins.

He was also reportedly fined more than $200,000 for unexcused absences from meetings and practices the week following the game.

Jeffery was the second receiver coach Mike Zimmer asked Rhodes to shadow, when the wideout was still with the Bears and Rhodes was in his second season with the Vikings in 2014. The Vikings could find some big plays if Cousins has time to throw and trusts himself to pull the trigger. That said, these are the games to watch this weekend in college football. "I'm here, and I want to win".
