According to documents obtained by The Blast, bosses at Splash News and Picture Agency state that they own the rights to the image, in which the Hustlers star can be seen going for a romantic stroll with the ex-sportsman.

Two years ago, Jennifer Lopez uploaded an image of her and Alex Rodriguez to her Instagram story that saw them holding hands while out for lunch in NY.

Jennifer Lopez seems to be in a bit of hot water over a photograph of herself and Alex Rodriguez that she posted to her Instagram Story back in 2017.

"Lopez has over 93 million Instagram followers, and her Instagram account is open to the public", the suit states.

Splash notified Lopez of her alleged infringement through her reps in a December 12, 2017 letter, according to the lawsuit.

The documents state that the "Plaintiff never licensed the Photograph to defendant". The plaintiff in this case feels that because of the nature of Jennifer Lopez's celebrity and how well known she and Alex Rodriguez are, there is a lot of value to the image in question.

Jennifer Lopez has been slapped with copyright infringement. "Specifically, Lopez or someone acting on her behalf copied the Photograph and distributed it on Instagram, via the @jlo account, on a story posted November 7, 2017".

The papers also reveal that Lopez has been slapped with an injunction to stop her from continuing to post the photo that belongs to Splash News. Plus, the Kardashians have spoken about this same issue on social media as well.
