Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant insisted as much Tuesday during an interview with NY radio station WQHT, better known as "Hot 97", when he claimed young players no longer consider the Knicks a "cool" brand to represent.

"I think a lot of fans look at the Knicks as a brand and expect these younger players in their lifetime don't remember the Knicks being good", Durant said Tuesday in an in-studio interview with Hot 97 in NY.

"It's like the cool thing right now is not the Knicks".

Kevin Durant made an appearance on Hot 97 this morning to discuss a few different topics, ranging from his Top 5 rappers to his free agency decision. Durant said. Reluctant to pick a fifth artist due to the relationships he has in the industry, Durant chose Gunna as his number five.

Around the 7:00 mark Durant explained, "I think a lot of fans look at the Knicks as a brand and expect these younger players who, in their lifetime, don't remember the Knicks being good".

United States moved troops from northern Syria to 'ensure their safety', Pentagon says
Trump's announcement threw the military situation in Syria into fresh chaos and injected deeper uncertainty into the region. Iran expressed to Turkey on Monday its opposition to an incursion into northern Syria.

Brooklyn was able to land star individuals such as Durant and Kyrie Irving this past offseason.

KD adds that the Knicks' brand is no longer considered "cool". It's hard to get the best players to play here.

"I thought about it yeah, but I didn't do any deep analysis on the Knicks", KD said.

Durant had a amusing response to a fan on Twitter after his segment. While Brooklyn's ticket demand is up it still trails NY in overall demand right now, but will that change as the Nets are poised to be contenders (once Durant gets healthy after his Achilles tear), while the Knicks still have a lot of work to do on their rebuilding process? "I don't wanna hear no bulls-t", Durant responded.
