These matches will be ranked and will allow trainers all over the world to gauge their skills against the best-of-the-best in Pokemon GO PvP!

Niantic has been planning to implement a PvP system in Pokemon GO for quite some time now. Even if you're okay with the actual structure PvP takes in the game (I still remember the whiplash I felt early on coming from the mainline series), you probably still have a wish list jam-packed with potential features and changes.

The League will come to Pokemon Go apps in "early 2020", the developer said.

"Battling has been a core part of the Pokémon universe since the very beginning", Niantic posted today. Specifically, "trainers will be able to walk in order to earn entry" into the new league.

Shay Mitchell's Baby Girl Is Here, And We're In Love
Shay and her boyfriend Matte Babel announced they were expecting their first child on IG and Youtube in late June. The exciting news came after Shay revealed she had epeirence a miscarriage in 2018.

It's an exciting time to be a Pokemon trainer, as not only will you be able to take the fight online in Go early next year, November 15 will see the launch of Pokemon Sword and Shield on the Switch.

Niantic hopes this new feature will make GO battles "more competitive and accessible" to trainers around the world. We'll be sharing more details in a special Dev Insights video soon.

Niantic have been on a long journey to flesh out the features and gameplay of Pokemon Go, which launched in July 2016.
