Chinese phone maker also announced the new OPPO K5 mid-ranger; let's check it out! The handset has arrived with an attractive starting price of 3,199 Yuan (~$449). Meanwhile, the display is 6.44-inch in size and sports a resolution of 2340×1080, basically Full HD+.

Under the hood, Oppo Reno Ace is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. There is no external storage support on the device. There is a heat dissipation pipe inside the phone for regulating its internal temperature.

The smartphone's biggest highlight is its charging technology. In fact, a five minute charge can take the phone from zero to 27% capacity. In addition, the Reno Ace supports other rapid charging technologies like USB-PD and Qualcomm's Quick Charge. Alongside those features, Oppo is also debuting the fastest charging solution on the market with SuperVOOC 2.0.

In the camera department, the Oppo Reno Ace hosts a vertically-aligned quad-camera setup with a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor. The quad camera on the back also features a 13-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto camera, an 8-megapixel 116-degree ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera.

Now, the company has launched the Reno Ace in China, and it's indeed the fastest charging phone on the planet. The smartphone is available in two colors purple and blue.

The 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB editions of the Reno Ace will be available with 200 Yuan (~$28) discount during its first sale in China on October 17. It will retail at 3,599 yuan (around Rs. 36,000) for a custom finish, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The pre-orders of this special edition phone will kick off on October 21 followed by market release on November 11.
