Hopefully, the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones will both go official in India on October 16.

Redmi Note 8 Pro will come in Forest Green, Mineral Gray, and Pearl White in 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB for P11,490 and P12,990, respectively. Apart from launching the Note 8 series, the Chinese manufacturer will be also unveiling the MIUI 11 UI in India at the same event. With Redmi 8, Xiaomi is focusing on two main elements of a smartphone: battery and camera. It also uses 1.6μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel to capture more light for bright night shots.

It comes with a quad-camera setup featuring 64-megapixel sensor + 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens + 2-megapixel macro lens + 2-megapixel depth sensor.

For those into taking selfies, expect more detailed photos with the 20MP front camera alongside face unlock and scene detection. The Note 8's quad-camera module is placed on the upper left side of the back panel, while the Note 8 Pro's is at the center, similar to what you see on the OPPO Reno 2.

Both phones also have built-in AI technology. The display resolution is 2340 x 1080 pixels and the screen has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro may just be very ideal for photographers and gamers.

"To recap, the Redmi 8 features a 6.22" HD+ Dot Drop display and it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor.

The Redmi Note 8 series is finally official in the Philippines, bringing with it competitive prices for the features they offer. The Note 8 Pro offers users with UFS 2.1 storage.

The smartphone will retail at Rs39,999 for 6GB+64GB, and Rs42,999 for 6GB+128GB.

For the Redmi Note 8, the available colors are Space Black (a classic), Neptune Blue and Moonlight White. Now a landing page has appeared on Amazon India which indicates that the e-commerce giant could be the online retailer partner for sales of Redmi Note 8 lineup.
