USA gymnastics star Simone Biles clinched a record-extending 15th world championship gold medal on Tuesday as the Americans won the women's team title in Stuttgart.

Simone Biles has become the most decorated female gymnast in world championship history with the United States winning team gold in Stuttgart.

"Every year it feels better and better, just because we're adding to the legacy". "I just go out there and do what I came to do, which is compete for the country". "I feel like I never think of records". Biles called it "the sickest medal we've ever had".

On Thursday, she'll be competing in the Women's All-Around Final, before spending the weekend competing in all four individual event finals - vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. But it does mean that her total count of World Championship medals could get up to 26 by the end of the week. This was her 21st World Championships medal, carrying her past Svetlana Khorkina's tally of 20. "We're happy that we got second because we can't battle the Americans just yet, but today the gap was significantly lower than at the last few world championships", Melnikova said.

"It's the best routine I've done this week so far, so it's really exciting", Biles said of her floor display.

Mexico border apprehensions fall again in September but remain high
Trump threatened with tariffs earlier in the summer unless it did more to curb migration flows within its territory. There are reports that they have even been attacked by other potential asylum-seekers as they wait in Mexico.

They claimed gold with a tally of 172.330, well ahead of the Russians who took silver with 166.529, while bronze went to Italy on 164.796. China, failing to reach the podium for the first time since 2003, were fourth after a tough day for Liu Tingting, who fell twice on the uneven bars and again on the balance beam.

Her huge tally of 15.333 led a USA clean sweep in the floor exercise alongside team-mates Jade Carey and Sunisa Lee, to hand the Americans gold.

It was a big recovery for Italy, which qualified in last place for the final.

Italy edged out China to win a surprise bronze, while France finished fifth and Great Britain sixth to qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
