Casey Donovan & Vanessa Amorosi step up for 'Eurovision - Australia Decides'

Who will win

Who will win

Kate Miller-Heidke won the public vote to go to Tel Aviv this year and did us proud with her stunning aerial performance of Zero Gravity.

Vanessa Amorosi will be singing a song from her new album at Australia Decides. "I look forward to Australia hearing my song and working alongside friends and fellow musicians on this journey", says Amorosi.

Veteran pop gun Amorosi and former Australian Idol-winner Donovan will take to the Gold Coast stage in February next year in the hopes of surpassing last year's victor, Kate Miller-Heidke, whose aerial performance landed Australia in a respectable 9th place at the worldwide comp. Over the last 13 years, she's made her mark not only as a musician, but also on stage, screen, and as a presenter and writer.

Say what you want about Australia's involvement in Eurovision (it's tricky, okay), there's no denying the annual singing competition is fun and fierce. Casey is a multi-award victor, including the ARIA No. 1 Award for "Listen with Your Heart" and Deadly Awards for Best Album, Best Single and Most Promising New Talent. She is now starring in the musical Chicago.

Previous year saw the first ever National Final for Australia, which brought big names both domestically and internationally to the Gold Coast in February 2019 for a spectacular show.

Premier League title already out of Manchester United's reach, Solskjær admits
It would not be enough, however, as United held on to secure the three points and continue their record-breaking winning streak. It's safe to say Manchester United have not had good performances during the league campaign.

"When I was asked I thought, what an fantastic thing to be a part of". Successful as a theatre star, most recently for her turn as Mama Morton in Chicago. And I mean Vanessa Amorosi...she's my idol!

Amorosi hinted to SBS that her submission will be one of the tracks from her latest album Back to Love, while Donovan has collaborated with songwriter Justine Eltakchi on Proud. It doesn't matter what happens for me, Proud is such an incredible song written by the talented Justine Eltakchi and I'm proud to sing it. We are delighted that a song submitted to the SBS song portal has found its way to Casey Donovan -one of the greatest voices in the country. Tickets for the Opening Night Show, Matinee Show and Live TV Final are now on sale.

With the same method of revealing their national final artists, SBS will periodically release the names of the acts that will take part in the contest to be held again in the Gold Coast. Aussies are encouraged to vote on their fave acts, with the victor being revealed on Saturday, 8th February.

Be a part of history and see it live at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It is believed both Amorosi and Donovan were in the mix for inaugural Australia Decides in February.
