A day after World Cup-winning Springbok legend Tendai "Beast'" Mtawarira announced his retirement from worldwide rugby, his team has confirmed that he is retiring from playing all forms of rugby in South Africa.

"Not in my wildest dreams did I imagine so many South Africans would turn up on a working day to greet the team".

"These men are our warriors who went to war and flew our flag high in Japan", Ramaphosa said.

"Ramaphosa also revealed his interaction with the players and coaches when he met them before the match: "[Bok captain] Siya [Kolisi] told me he was nervous, [coach] Rassie Erasmus told me he was shaking like a leaf and some players were telling me they were nervous".

"I was so nervous I had to run to the bathroom and so missed the first try".
