The teaser doesn't quite say, but we do see the Foxx's middle-school teacher Joe Gardner, in human animated form, take a big fall through a manhole and next we see him as a greenish-blue ghost. "You want to become the person you were born to be". Soul is about a jazz musician who has lost his passion for music is transported out of his body and must find his way back with the help of an infant soul learning about herself. There he meets 22 (voiced by Tina Fey), a soul with a bleak outlook of life on Earth. "Spend your precious hours doing what will bring out the real you, the brilliant passionate you that's willing to contribute something meaningful to this world".

In an era of near-constant reboots, Disney and Pixar have something new for the big screen-and it has plenty of Soul!

The film - which will be the 23rd story in the Pixar cannon released since the Emeryville, California-based CGI film production company launched in 1995 - was written and directed by two-time Oscar victor Peter Docter.

"Soul", one of two Pixar movies debuting next year, will hit theaters June 19, 2020.
