United Kingdom police on Friday released names of the Vietnamese nationals whose bodies were found in a refrigerated truck in southern England last month. It may be noted that several Vietnamese families had come forward with reports of missing relatives in the aftermath of the tragic incident.

Leaders of Nghe An's Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen Districts, Cua Lo Town and Vinh Town personally visited the families of the province's 21 victims on Friday to offer their condolences and encourage them.

Essex police released the names of the victims - all from Vietnam - discovered inside a shipping container on october 23, in what is believed to be one of the country's most deadly incidents involving people smuggling.

The Essex police have worked closely with the National Crime Agency, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Vietnamese authorities to identify and locate the victims' families. The refrigerated unit was picked up at Purfleet dock, east of London, while police believe the truck cab was driven over from Ireland.

Brokers help Vietnamese citizens travel to European countries - often Russian Federation - with many hoping to then make it on to Britain illicitly. Two men from Northern Ireland, including the truck's driver, appeared in court facing charges of 39 counts of manslaughter, as well as human trafficking and immigration offenses.

Skate 4 dreams are ruined as EA abandons Skate trademark
That's why it seemed plausible that EA was just letting Skate 4 incubate for a good, long while before release. Well, they're not going to include Skate or its sequels, as the publisher gives up ownership of the name.

Police suggested they waited until the entire identification process was complete before releasing the information.

Essex Police have started extradition proceedings to bring 22-year-old Eamonn Harrison from the Republic to the UK. Several others have been arrested in Vietnam.

Detectives have also urged Ronan Hughes, 40, and his brother Christopher, 34, said to have links with the road haulage and shipping industries, to hand themselves in.

Some of the names of the victims had emerged in news reports before.

Pham Thi Tra My, 26, from Can Loc district in Ha Tinh province, had left home on October 3 and sent a final message to her mother from inside the truck. Her family had been unable to contact her since the text arrived saying she was suffocating. "My journey overseas doesn't succeed", she wrote. "Mom, I love you and dad very much. I'm dying because I can't breathe", she said. "Mom, I'm so sorry".
