According to DigiTimes, Apple can add AirPods headphones to the box of 2020 iPhones.

According to a report from Taiwanese media DigiTimes, Apple is considering shipping AirPods true wireless headphones with the 2020 iPhone.

If there is some truth to these rumors, it could be that Apple is thinking about bundling in the AirPods in the iPhone 12 box contents to maintain its dominance in the market and prevent users from migrating to other alternatives. If the recent report is to be believed, the smartphone maker is considering to bundle its truly wireless earbuds with the next generation of iPhone devices.

Apple has included basic, wired EarPods with a Lightning connector in the box with iPhones for several years.

It features classic scissor switches, unlike the flat Butterfly keyboards on the more modern 13-inch MacBook Air. Apple now offers two different models of MacBooks on the market today: the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro .

Apart from this, Apple can also simply increase the overall price of new iPhones covering the manufacturing cost of AirPods but this has a big chance of potentially impacting the sales of future iPhones so the company might not do that. Furthermore, the report suggests other major manufacturers such as Samsung and Xiaomi might also follow the same trend next year. This would have Apple at least pondering what it might want to do in response, if anything.

Well, the speakers get less space and that's the reason, the AirPods actually sound better than most wireless earbuds. So it's hard to see how Apple could justify including actual AirPods in with the iPhone without significantly increasing the price.
