Israel Folau, Rugby Australia agree on a settlement

A spokesman for Folau said that he wouldn't be making any immediate comment about his future, while RA said the 30-year-old wouldn't be playing rugby in Australia again under the current administration.

"We are extremely pleased with the settlement reached today", Folau, alongside his wife, Maria, said in a video posted on his website.

The settlement follows Monday's mediation talks held at the Federal Court in Melbourne between Folau and Rugby Australia.

Both parties acknowledged the damage they had caused each other and subsequently apologised for any hurt or harm brought about during the dispute.

"With today's acknowledgement and apology by Rugby Australia, we have been vindicated and can now move on with our lives to focus on our faith and family".

The statement added that "Folau did not intend to hurt or harm the game of rugby and acknowledges and apologises for any hurt or harm caused". After the player's GoFundMe was shut down, faith-based advocacy group "The Australian Christian Lobby" set up an alternative campaign on their platform, taking donations of over $2 million to help Folau with his legal costs.

"The case changed the conversation on religious freedom, leading to a "Folau clause" in the current Religious Discrimination Bill", wrote Iles.

The twin posts came after the code-hopper had been warned about his social media use during the 2018 season.

Nepal's Gadhimai Fest is The World's Largest Animal Sacrifice Ritual
Thousands of goats were also bound for sacrifice - mostly by having their throats slit - as well as pigs and even some rats. In August 2016, Nepal's Supreme Court directed the government to stop animal sacrifices at the Gadhimai temple fair.

RA terminated Folau's contract and no other team, in rugby union or league, approached him with a new deal.

Here is the statement that Rugby Australia made... His four-year contract was worth AUS $4 million.

"Given that he upped his claim to $14 million last week you'd have to expect that a significant amount of money has been paid", Professor Forsyth said.

Just a couple of weeks ago Folau used a sermon at his father's Truth of Jesus Christ Church in western Sydney to link the bushfires and drought now ravaging parts of eastern Australia to the nation's legalising of same-sex marriage in 2018 and abortion.

Folau launched a legal fight against his former employer in August, with lawyers for the ex-Waratahs player claiming his actions were "consistent with his freedom of religious expression".

Even his conservative backers condemned the remarks, including Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who cited Folau's sacking when introducing laws created to protect religious freedom.

Corporate sponsors may shy away from any sport associated with Folau, who has become a polarising figure in Australia.
