The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have reportedly made a decision to dilute the Lodha Reforms related to the cooling-off period for the office-bearing administrators in the 88th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai on Sunday.

"At the end of the day, the court will decide", Ganguly said in a press conference after the AGM.

BCCI, which was under Supreme Court for 33 years, saw its constitution undergoing several amendments during that period. And, if this policy got dissolved then the former Indian skipper can continue until 2024, who has to vacate office next year.

The current dispensation wants the cooling off period to kick in only after the individual has finished two terms (six years), at the board and state association separately.

Ganguly's proposal that BCCI secretary Jay Shah attend the ICC's CEC meeting was approved by the general body, reversing the decision taken by the CoA. Mr. Jay, son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will replace BCCI CEO Rahul Johri, in the ICC's CEC.

However, the Board has not yet decided on its representative for the ICC Board meetings.

The reason for the lack of interest for the position of CAC is because of its honorary role, where the members have to work only a few days while also ensuring that they are not in conflict in any other manner - as a result, cutting their means of earning through cricket. "We will form the CAC".

Buckingham Palace reportedly nervous ahead of Prince Andrew accuser interview
Giuffre's interview was filmed a month before the prince's interview, so she would not be directly responding to that. In a clip from the programme released on Twitter , Ms Giuffre says: "It was a really scary time in my life".

The two CACs formed earlier (Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Ganguly and Kapil Dev, Shantha Rangaswamy and Anshuman Gaekwad) had dissolved exclusively due to concerns overs conflict of interest.

"So we needed to get proper clarity from him on what is conflict and what is not conflict".

"The conflict clause stops everyone, that's why we can't make the CAC". We met the ethics Officer DK Jain yesterday over the conflict of interest issue. In 2016, the trio had named Anil Kumble as the head coach before appointing Ravi Shastri as the head coach in 2017.

The Eden Gardens recently hosted India's first ever Day-Night Test between India and Bangladesh and Ganguly said that he wants to make it a regular feature. Once you appoint a selection committee, it stays for four years and once you appoint a coach, it (he) stays for three years. While Ganguly and BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal confirmed that "Azharuddin's dues will be cleared", Sportstar understands that the amount to be disbursed to him is approximately Rs. 1.5 crore.

The AGM has authorised its the five-member apex council to nominate the BCCI's representative on the decision-making ICC Board. "There is absolute clarity on MS Dhoni and you'll find out in time". "Of course it will get clear", Ganguly said in response to Shastri's comments.

"Sachin and Laxman are likely to get back to CAC", a top BCCI official told PTI.

However, the BCCI constitution also allows amendment of any rules and regulations if a 3/4th majority of the members present at the AGM agrees to it.
