Seahawks take over first place in NFC West, beat Vikings

How Rams can take over No. 6 seed on Sunday after Vikings loss

How Rams can take over No. 6 seed on Sunday after Vikings loss

They scored 29 on the Seahawks in the first meeting this season and if they get to that number again, they'll have a good shot to win. And more specifically relative to the Bears, Blough's success should also signal their own need to give Matt Nagy a developmental rookie passer this offseason - something GM Ryan Pace has yet to procure in his first five years, former No. 2 overall pick Mitch Trubisky notwithstanding.

New Orleans enters this week's contest with some statement wins like its ones over the Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks, but it has not faced an aggressive opponent like the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are now the 5th seed since they lost their head to head matchup against the Seahawks a few weeks ago.

A big part of Seattle's win, feeding off the crowd.

Islanders shut out Blue Jackets, end three-game winless streak
Werenski left 3:37 into the game after a collision with Lee in front of the Blue Jackets net. "Varly!" throughout the period. We ended up with some opportunities. "The first half of the first period, we weren't very good, but we settled in nicely".

Offensively, quarterback Drew Brees may have trouble through the air with this San Francisco pass defense a lack of wide receivers not named Michael Thomas, so head coach Sean Payton may look for a run-based attack this week. Rhodes has allowed the highest completion percentage as a nearest defender in the National Football League this season. He has nearly twice as many touchdowns this year and fewer interceptions in his last two seasons combined than Goff has this season. If they don't, the Lions certainly can't sleep on rookie running back Alexander Mattison. His attempts per game are down and so are his yards per carry. Presumably the reason that Goff is passing more is due to the lack of confidence in the Rams running game. Minnesota cornerback Xavier Rhodes appeared to think he had safety help over the top, but no one was there as Moore sprinted for his second TD catch of the season on the next-to-last play of the third quarter. Tyler Lockett had no receptions last week and has only four total in the last three weeks. Russell Wilson threw a freakish pick-six but also finished 21-of-31 for 240 yards, two touchdowns and a pick. The edge though goes to the Rams.

The Rams offense has had some serious issues over the last couple of months and nobody is fooled after their get-well game against the hapless Arizona Cardinals. Greg Zuerlein has missed six field goals on the year but all of them have been from 40 yards or longer.

Run the ball often to limit Rams possessions.
