Studs and duds from 49ers' 20-17 loss in Baltimore

Five observations It’s a tale of fourth downs as 49ers lose their second game of the season in the waning seconds

I think it was not enough for Tucker to make sure the Ravens set the best record in the National Football League and defeated a prevailing 49ers club in a possible Super Bowl preview. A lot of people thought this could potentially be a Super Bowl LIV preview in Miami, Florida on Sunday, February 2, 2020. The Packers (9-3) defeated the New York Giants 31-13 Sunday.

Baltimore could fill Jackson's spot on the roster with safety Brynden Trawick, a one-time Pro Bowl special teams player who's been on injured reserve since early October.

Things started out well for the 49ers (10-2), as they scored on their first possession by finding the end zone on a 33-yard reception on fourth down. He also rushed for 20 yards on one carry.

George Kittle was held in check in this game. Emmanuel Sanders was the top receiver for San Francisco with four catches for 41 yards.

Jerry Jones Gives Ambiguous Answer To Cowboys Head Coach Question
There's no coach in the National Football League who's more familiar with the hot seat than Jason Garrett. " Jason Garrett is a good coach", Jones said when asked why he didn't move on from Garrett.

Jackson was as elusive as advertised, and his fake against K'Waun Williams typified how dynamic a runner is (16 carries, 101 yards). After taking over on their own 35, QB Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore offense would mount an impressive drive, whittling the clock down to three seconds and maneuvering well into Tucker's range.

It came down to a last-second field goal from revered Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, ironically from 49 yards out. Everything slowed down in the second-half which was odd. If the Rams lose, the 49ers are in with a win or tie at New Orleans. We had every chance to win that game. It would be disappointing if it didn't happen.

We still need to see how Jackson fares when his running lanes are plugged up and he's forced to throw the ball 30-40 times from the pocket. Now that the 49ers are 10-2 (tying New Orleans), the surging Seattle Seahawks can match their record with a win over the Minnesota Vikings in prime-time.

As for the Baltimore Ravens (10-2), they will have a big game on the road next Sunday against the Buffalo Bills (8-3). While losses are never ideal, San Francisco should still be encouraged by their performance against the Ravens.
