Iranian national is detained on bridge in Palm Beach four miles from Mar-a-Lago

An Iranian national was arrested by police in Palm Beach a few miles from President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort Friday morning, and authorities say the man was armed with several knives, a pickaxe, and a machete.

The man was taken into custody on Flagler Memorial Bridge on Friday, and also had in his possession $22,000 in USA currency, a machete and a pick ax, in addition to the knives, the Palm Beach Daily News reported.

Yareilzoleh was in the country legally and did not pose a national threat, the officer said, though an investigation is ongoing.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Masoud Yareioeill Zoleh was identified as an Iranian national by his passport while his auto was parked at Palm Beach International Airport.

A guy detained by Palm Beach Police today had $22,000, a machete and a select ax, along with knives in his property, according to an policeman with the division.

Police also searched a vehicle that was associated with Yareilzoleh that was found by police at the Palm Beach International Airport.

The arrest happened about a 12-minute drive from Mar-a-Lago, near the bridge that connects Palm Beach with West Palm Beach.
