Prior to the Oscar nominations announcement, Lopez told ET that she had "nothing to complain about" if she wasn't nominated for an Oscar.

Overall, "Little Women" received six nominations including Best Picture and a surprise nod for Best Supporting Actress - for Florence Pugh as hard daughter Amy March. White actresses filled the list of nominations, including Kathy Bates for Richard Jewell, Laura Dern for Marriage Story, Scarlett Johansson for Jojo Rabbit, Florence Pugh for Little Women and Margot Robbie for Bombshell.

Matthew Rodriguez, a writer, tweeted "One Black acting nominee. despite a plethora of chances to reward so many unbelievable performances from Black, Latino and Asian actors this year and One nominee doesn't excuse this #OscarsSoWhite lineup".

The 50-year-old singer-and-actress also opened up about how she got her role in "Hustlers".

"Doing this movie was a big deal for me", she said.

Well-deserving actors and artists got their nods, while some of the finest work of the year was completely ignored per the Oscars' unadventurous prerogative, and a few freakish nominations just made no sense at all.

"I mean, my life right now is just so wonderful". My personal life, my kids, everything. "When I made my first movie, when I booked my first dance job and went to Europe and nobody in my family had been to Europe", he said. "It's every single moment, even till this moment, surprises me and touches my heart in a way that I could never really even begin to explain".
