The film stars Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, AL Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson. That's cool and all, but did you spot the Marvel's Spider-Man easter egg hidden away in the footage? You can check out the trailer now in the player below! That all sounds kinda hypothetical until the final moments of the trailer when Michael Keaton shows up, making it seem as if the Vulture and Morbius are going to cross paths in the film.

Originally Dr. Michael Morbius, the scientist character tried to cure his rare blood disease only to become afflicted with a form of vampirism that gave him superior strength, fangs and a taste for the red stuff.

Sony was at one time developing a Sinister Six movie; both the Vulture and Morbius the Living Vampire have been members of the villain team in the comics; in addition, Homecoming also teased Scorpion, and Far From Home's Mysterio has been a member.

The teaser trailer for Morbius is out as Sony remains committed to creating their own Marvel universe adjacent to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

They feature a design that allow them to take off and land vertically (eVTOL) and with much less noise than previous models. It has a cruising speed of up to 290 km/hr and a cruising altitude of around 1,000-2,000 feet (300 - 600 mt) above ground.

As for the rest of the teaser trailer, if fans like Venom, then Morbius should be more of the same, at least stylistically. That makes this trailer debut all the more exciting.

Morbius is, after all, "the Living Vampire" as the teaser goes through the character's basic origin story.

Morbius sinks his teeth into theaters on July 31, 2020. Daniel Espinosa, who has films such as "Safe House" and "Life" to his credit, will direct the project, with a script from Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama This is the second comic book character that the Oscar-winning actor will be playing on-screen. And while they have essentially lent the character to Disney in order for him to be included in the MCU, Sony only have full control over the movies produced by themselves - which Morbius is, and which Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy was.
