BTS has topped the Billboard 200 on three occasions - a record for a South Korean group - and if their new album becomes number one, they will become the first group to lead the chart on four occasions in two years since the Beatles.

Having performed at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last month, BTS stands at the forefront of South Korean pop music and has helped gather an global audience for the genre.

The conference, which follows Friday's release of the band's fourth album, "Map of the Soul: 7", will continue without press and fan attendance with a conversation based on emailed press questions followed by a Q&A session for fans.
