A college football player in America is facing multiple charges after causing a disturbance at a business and then body slamming the officer who was placing him under arrest, WBNS in Grove City, Ohio, first reported.

Eastern Kentucky University confirmed that Harris is a redshirt sophomore for the school. He is seen on the video in a parking lot near what appears to be his SUV.

In the video recorded by a camera on a Grove City police cruiser, Harris can be seen fighting back as officers tried to talk to him, lunging at officers.

WBNS-TV reports police believe Harris was intoxicated and didn't know his whereabouts. Trying to interpret the context is hard, yet Harris makes his arms rigid as they are extended out before trying to re-enter his vehicle.

Michael Harris picked up the officer before slamming him. An additional officer comes over to help, and another officer takes something out of their holster before putting it back in and trying to pull Harris off.

The officers managed to handcuff the man.

Harris is also facing charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Fortunately, the police officer was uninjured during the melee.

He had just transferred to Eastern Kentucky this week, with head coach Walt Wells saying, "He brings size, explosiveness and speed to the inside linebacker position".

Harris appeared in 11 games for Auburn as a reserve previous year, making three tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
