An updated production schedule has been a bit hard to pin down, but in a recent interview with CBS News promoting their new movie, the Jungle Call, Ford provided pertinent information on when we could see Indy 5 as well as his feelings about returning to the beloved characters.

"I'm always delighted to come back to these characters".

"When we have an opportunity to make another, it is because people have enjoyed them", Ford says in that interview. I feel obliged to make sure that our efforts are as ambitious as they were when we started. "You have a sense of responsibility to your customers".

"I think of the people who go to my movies more as customers than as fans", Ford added.

Speaking at the Empire Awards past year, he said: "It's always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK".

Asked whether it will be a reboot and if Harrison Ford will be involved, Kennedy added: "Harrison Ford will be involved".

A year lated LaBeouf said in an interview that Steven Spielberg had cracked the story for the fifth film, something Karen Allen, who plays Marion Ravenwood, later confirmed too.

The fifth film is definitely set to be a sequel rather than a reboot and Ford himself previously said no one else could play the character.

A release date for Indiana Jones 5 has not been announced. Since then, Harrison Ford has brought the adventurer back to cinemas in The Temple of Doom (1984), The Last Crusade (1989) and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008).

We don't know anything about Indiana Jones 5 other than the fact that Steven Spielberg will be back to direct and David Koepp will write the screenplay.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull grossed $790.7 million worldwide, with $317.1 million from North American theaters and $473.5 from overseas markets.

Another installment to the Indiana Jones franchise is on its way, with Harrison Ford revealing that production will commence within months. What are you hoping to see in the new movie?
