In the video, the "Dark Horse" singer sits at the panel with fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, and that's when she notices a unusual scent.

Fans will be able to see what happens next on Sunday's edition of "American Idol".

In the 43-second clip shared by PEOPLE, Katy can be seen asking, "Do you guys smell gas?" Bryan agrees, saying, "We're getting heavy propane". "It's pretty intense", says Perry.

But when Perry begins to complain of a headache, things go downhill quickly. "I have a slight headache from it", she said. "Oh it's bad. It's really bad".

Moments later, confusion and concern erupt from the contestants and the Idol crew members.

The Dark Horse singer tips over and falls to the ground in the clip but it doesn't show whether Perry was treated on scene or not.
