Tampa Bay plays Edmonton, aims for 10th straight home win

Penguins take home win streak into matchup with Lightning

Penguins take home win streak into matchup with Lightning

Kucherov leads the Lightning with 69 points; Stamkos has 59. The Lightning have won five of six games after the break, including a streak of five in a row.

Despite all that, it appears Koskinen will get the start for the Oilers in Tampa Bay against the Lightning.

The Lightning won 4-2 at home Thursday in a game the Penguins chased all night and didn't feel great about.

Team officials did not say when the two will return to action. Brayden Point has recorded two goals and 12 assists over the last 10 games for Tampa Bay.

Lightning coach Jon Cooper said after the game that he didn't have an update on Kucherov or Anthony Cirelli, who also left with a lower-body injury. "I'm no different than any other guy".

RK Pachauri, former TERI chief, passes away at 79
In October 2018, a Delhi court had framed molestation charges against Pachauri, who had denied the charges. Pachauri passed away at his residence in the national capital with wife, daughter and son by his side.

Mikhail Sergachev scored his ninth goal and Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 35 shots for Tampa Bay, which played the third period and overtime without leading scorer Nikita Kucherov. Vasilevskiy has an 18-game point streak (16-0-2), including the Thursday win against Pittsburgh. With the victory, Vasilevskiy tied the franchise record with his 16th point, a stretch dating back to December 17. He holds a 14-0-2 record in that time. "When he plays like that, he gives us a chance to win every night", forward Steven Stamkos said about Vasilevskiy.

However "The Big Cat" cares more about the team's current point total than a record. The 25-year-old has put his slow start to the season behind him by turning into one of the league's hottest goaltenders over the past two months. Captain Steven Stamkos is now day-to-day with a lower-body injury, while defenseman Ryan McDonagh is out a couple of weeks after being hurt blocking a shot in Thursday's win over Pittsburgh.

With both teams now sitting in second in their respective divisions, a potential Eastern Conference final could be in the offing if both make it that far. While they have not been as dominant as past seasons, the Lightning are still the betting favorite to win the Eastern Conference, and downtown Tampa will be buzzing as they make a run at the Stanley Cup.

Sitting 7 points back of the Boston Bruins for the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Pittsburgh Penguins have some work to do if they are to secure home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.
