Xiaomi Mi 10 series launched: Snapdragon 865, 108MP camera and more starting from Rs 40,800

While most of the attention in the phones world is now on the Samsung Galaxy S20 range, another high-end handset is about to land in the form of the Xiaomi Mi 10, and ahead of the launch the company has revealed some details about the phone, including its seriously fast charging speeds. According to the leaks, the Mi 10 display will come with a 90Hz refresh rate and the company will also increase the touch sampling rate to 180Hz. It briefly showed how smooth its display is in action, front camera under the punch-hole, and rear camera setup. Somewhat similar to the Mi Note 10, there are two telephoto cameras - a short telephoto unit with a 12MP sensor and a long telephoto shooter that has an 8MP sensor.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 is rumoured to come in three variants, the 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage is expected to be priced at CNY 4,200 (approximately ₹43,000), the 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage may carry a price tag of CNY 4,500 (approximately ₹46,000) and the most high-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage is rumoured to be priced at CNY 4,900 (approximately ₹50,200).

Xiaomi Mi 10 will be going on sale in China from February 14 for a starting price of 3,999 yuan ($573) for the 8GB/128GB version.

Besides that, a leaked hands-on video Mi 10 was found on Weibo.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro are finally official with four cameras a piece and Snapdragon 865. In terms of connectivity, the Mi 10 is likely to support 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and an infrared (IR) blaster.

"The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro features a 108MP main camera that uses a large 1/1.33" image sensor and it also has a 20MP ultra-wide-angle camera. What else, the phone could have 8K video recording support and dual stereo speakers too, as per a teaser.

It even outdoes the Pro with its 4,780 mAh battery, but only offers 30W wired charging. Xiaomi could launch Mi 10 with up to 16GB of RAM.
