New Apple TV may have twice the amount of storage and a new 'Kids' mode

As reported by a YouTube channel named "iupdate" in collaboration with Israeli website named "The Verifier", Apple is working on a new Apple TV media player that will come with upgraded hardware and the updated tvOS 14 will have several software changes as well. In terms of hardware, the refreshed Apple TV will pack 64GB and 128GB storage options. It is expected that this has been done to accommodate more Apple Arcade titles. While the current generation of Apple TV 4K includes storage options of 32GB or 64GB, the next generation is apparently going to be doubled to 64GB and 128GB.

tvOS 13.4 introduces some small design changes to streamline the look of the TV app and it adds Family Sharing integration so users can access iTunes content purchased by family members without having to leave the app. Specific details are unknown, but the report says that the company is working on a "redesigned Apple TV+ with a greater focus on content". The code that 9to5Mac found in iOS 13.4, however, indicates that it will be based on the "arm64e" architecture, which is only used by the A12 and A13 chips.

Although Apple introduced support for multiple profiles in tvOS 13 a year ago (something that The Verifier also originally predicted), and the Apple TV has long supported parental controls, Apple didn't go quite so far as to integrate the two features.

Kids mode would allow kids to watch Apple TV content aimed at kids, with parental controls options that will allow parents to restrict available content. Parents will be able to block television shows, movies and applications that are not appropriate for their age, and may set screen time limits. The feature, which tracks how much time you are spending on your Apple devices and allows you to set up restrictions, is now on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, so it is natural that Apple TV would be next.

BC Government announces renter support, halts evictions
Horgan said he doesn't want people to fear losing their homes, which "should be a place of comfort and security". The smaller number of court-ordered evictions are up to the courts, which operate independently of government.

The Screen Time feature would also let users keep track of how much time they're watching TV. Signs of a new pleApple TV‌ have been popping up on iOS versions for months, suggesting we'll see it before the end of 2020.

This also happens to be the timeline that The Verifier has pegged for the new set-top box to make its debut.

Here's all you need to know about the new Apple TV, including the latest release date, price, features and spec rumours.
