Idris Elba Responds to Cardi B’s Coronavirus Conspiracy Theory

Elba made sure to note that he was with his wife before he got tested and admitted that the likelihood that she wasn't already exposed was low.

Idris says he and his wife are quarantining and not showing additional symptoms after he first got tested when he started experiencing a headache and body aches. "So I want people to understand that this is very real", the Hobbs & Shaw star explained. He added that he and Sabrina, who also tested positive for COVID-19, might be "immune" to the disease for a while. That's absolute bulls**t. Such stupidness. "It's stupid", he went on to say.

'That's when the person that came up positive, that was the time I got in contact with that person. I don't see what people get out of that. "I don't understand that", Elba told his followers.

Sabrina interjected: "Or to say that we're stuck inside", before Idris added: "There are a lot of people who conjure up these stories".

'It's interesting and worrying that people are possibly carrying this disease and are seemingly okay, but can spread it easily, ' he said of not being symptomatic.

His device is called the CoVent and is specifically meant to support coronavirus patients. But he stressed that any design would need regulatory approval.

This comes after Elba said he believes the coronavirus pandemic is the world's response to being "damaged" by the human race.

While Elba did not refer to Cardi B.in his Instagram live, the "I Like It" rapper recently drew attention to the conspiracy theory in her own Instagram Live post several days prior. Elba and his wife tested positive for the virus earlier this month and have been in quarantine since.
