Gov. Andy Beshear reported the fifth coronavirus-related death in Kentucky on Wednesday.

"We are battling for the health and the lives of our parents and our grandparents", he said.

Given that the state announced its single biggest jump in coronavirus infections on Tuesday ― with 39 new cases and 163 cases overall ― Beshear is pretty ticked off about it. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.

Dr. Stack urged folks to keep it up, "We are in crunch time, and the next two to three weeks are pivotal".

One of the confirmed cases is from a patient who went to Florida on Spring Break and came back with the virus.

The US has the Potential to Become the New Epicenter of Infection
In terms of cases per million, China's is 56 while Italy has the total case per million population of 1144. The US, by contrast, has a death rate of 1.2%.

"There is not one of us who wants to suffer from a communicable disease, or to lose a friend, family member or member of the community to COVID-19 or any other virus", Maddox said shortly before filing the amendment.

Beshear said that the party consisted of a group of people in their 20s who thought they were "invincible" and did not need to follow social distancing guidelines.

There are now more than 52,000 cases of the virus in the United States.

Gov. Beshear says, beginning next week, drive-thru testing will begin for a very limited population before potentially expanding the program further. He didn't give many details about the event but quickly denounced it.

"We ought to be much better than that", he added. Ultimately, the power of forgiveness, we get through this, we should forgive that person.
