OnePlus Pay mobile payment system going live this month

The new OnePlus Pay works over NFC and is available for OnePlus 7T and 7T Pros running HydrogenOS. Sadly, the new OnePlus Pay feature is now China/HydrogenOS only, though GizChina claims to have internal sources that say it will eventually come to other markets, including India and the US.

OnePlus Pay can be activated by double-pressing the power button, and the company claims that it's optimized to scan codes much faster than rivals WeChat and AliPay. The service is based on NFC (Near Field Communications), and users can use their OnePlus smartphones to pay via a POS machine that supports NFC payments quickly. But as per a new report coming out of China, the service has already gone live for some users.

The payment service now supports savings cards from Guangfa Bank, Minsheng Bank, and SPDB. Although OnePlus Pay will be initially available in China, the mobile payment service will be introduced in the United States and India later on. Just Tuesday, a couple of live photos of the alleged smartphone has surfaced, and a OnePlus Forum post revealed that 10 chosen volunteers would be given the chance to test and review OnePlus new flagship before it launches.
