Surprising, right? After unveiling the FlexPai at CES 2019, the company has now launched its second-generation foldable phone - the FlexPai 2, and this one also brings 5G support.

The first specs of Royole's new foldable phone have been revealed, with details of the Royole FlexPai 2 - the second generation flexible handset from the Chinese firm - claiming "significant improvements in every possible way".

Royole calls its new display technology & # 39; third generation cicada wing & # 39; "The technology" offers a 50% increase in brightness and offers improved performance, including high contrast, a wide color gamut (and a) fast response time. The Flexpai 2 will also have LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage, but without mentioning capacity as the phone's launch is still a while away - in Q2 2020 - and details might change.

The new folding device has a 7.8in display and updates the original design considerably to make a sleeker unit reminiscent of the Huawei Mate Xs with the display on the outside.

However, despite these measures, the app marketplace often fails to detect malware-ridden apps. Similarly, it would also make sense to use the same apps and services on all of Apple devices.

At the moment, we don't know more about the phone as the phone hasn't been launched yet. According to the authorities, the panel endured 200,000+ flexes without receiving any kind of damages. This new flexible panel features almost 100 micro nanomaterials that improve the strain recovery and "layer peeling".

The Flexpai 2 was showcased during an event in China and Rayole CEO Bill Liu revealed his company signed a partnership contract with ZTE.

The FlexPai 2 is quite similar to its predecessor in terms of form factor but comes with an improved hinge and display. However, that is just speculation.

According to Liu's information, FlexPai 2 will draw its power from Snapcommgon 865, Qualcomm's latest processor.
