Actress Heather Locklear hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation

The report, which documents Sunday's altercation, also reveals that Locklear was taken to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center and is believed to have been transferred to a psychiatric ward in Ventura County. The original call came in around 3:50 p.m. ET and officers transported Locklear to a nearby hospital within two hours of responding for observation.

There are no details yet on Locklear's status since being hospitalized.

TMZ stated Locklear's mother called 911 and said Locklear was acting erratically and threatening self-harm. Her mother told 911 dispatch that the actress was trying to find a gun. In case of an emergency, please call 911 for immediate help.

As of now, the incident is being ruled as medical and Locklear is currently not being charged on any counts.

The actress was charged with four counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting arrest after allegedly threatening responding deputies after becoming combative with responding officers.

Locklear has sought treatment for depression and anxiety and she reportedly went through drug rehabilitation.

An insider told RadarOnline.com that Locklear attacked her fiancé Chris Heisser on Friday, saying "She was violent toward Chris..."

Later the same month, Locklear was spotted in public for the first time since her arrest - leaving an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting with Heisser in Thousand Oaks. Locklear's friends say she's been battling a mental illness and substance abuse for some time.

The following June Locklear sought help for psychological issues.
