Apple and Google are introducing new tools to help users cut down on their screen time.

The paradox emerged Monday as Apple executives previewed new versions of free software due out this fall.

The new iOS 12 software that powers the iPhone and iPad was revealed during the company's annual developers conference.

"Privacy means people know what they're signing up for, in plain English and repeatedly", Jobs said. In 2010, then-CEO Steve Jobs said Apple had "always had a very different view of privacy than some of our colleagues in the Valley".

WatchOS: The Apple's Watch new update, i.e watchOS 5 will bring pretty cool features for the watch.

The new Bedtime mode goes one step further, preventing notifcations from displaying on the lock screen and dimming the display until morning.

Apple previews iOS 12, introduces macOS ‘Mojave’
It's a part of a multi-year project that Apple is giving a sneak preview in as a part of the new apps in the Mojave upgrade. Safari now also automatically creates, autofills and stores strong passwords when users create new online accounts.

The new Screen Time feature monitors the amount of time a user spends on a specific app, a category of apps and individual websites, plus the number of notifications received and total hands-on time. It will send users weekly reports on how they use their iPhones or iPads. You'll also be able to set time limits for apps.

The long and tedious process of removing apps from the memory on iPhone X led many users to think that Apple was discouraging them from doing this on a regular basis.

In its new operating system, Apple will make it much harder for trackers to create a unique fingerprint by only presenting the trackers with web pages that have a simplified configuration and built-in fonts. Here's a look at some of the standouts from Apple's WWDC.

Apple is set to announce a string of new product software updates at its annual developers conference with the company tipped to reveal an unprecedented new service created to improve our relationship with its beloved products. Instead, Apple generates most of its revenue from device sales. Google also upped the ante on artificial intelligence with a new twist on an assistant that can sound more like a human than robot when making phone calls to schedule appointments and make reservations.

The announcement comes as Facebook acknowledges it struck data-sharing deals with at least 60 device makers, including Apple. "This will allow "facebook.com" to track your activity". Many were quick to roll their eyes at Apple's new Animoji and Memoji-the company's apparent take on the popular Bitmoji.

Apple also rolled out group video chat sessions with up to 32 users, putting it in direct competition with companies such as Cisco Systems Inc and Microsoft Corp's Skype. And Apple is serious about its AR efforts.
