Brazil’s Neymar limps out of World Cup training session

Neymar stopped training in Sochi after a few minutes, leaving his team mates to continue preparations for their second World Cup game against Costa Rica in St Petersburg on Friday.

"Neymar left the training session with some pain in his right ankle because of the number of fouls he suffered in the game against Switzerland, " federation spokesman Vinicius Rodrigues said.

On Sunday, Brazil drew 1-1 with Switzerland, with Neymar playing the whole match for the first time having been sidelined for nearly three months with a foot injury, which required surgery.

Brazil's Neymar, right, leaves a training session because of pain in his right ankle. He limped as he walked away from the field toward the dressing room, accompanied by a team doctor.

A third fan wrote: "Neymar injured in training".

Local legislators weigh in on border separation policy
The Trump administration has adopted a "zero tolerance" policy toward anyone caught crossing the United States border. Kansas GOP Senator Pat Roberts said he is "against using parental separation as a deterrent to illegal immigration".

Most of the players who started against Switzerland only did light jogging on Monday, so Neymar's departure on Tuesday is of greater concern.

Switzerland can reflect on an excellent start to their campaign, having claimed a point from the most hard of their group matches and improved their chances of reaching the knockout stages for the second consecutive tournament.

"We haven't spoken about [it being a must-win game]", Coutinho told reporters after training. All games are like a final, even more so in the World Cup.

"We spoke about the possibilities and the ways to qualify and points".

"Today everyone is better prepared for a World Cup". Earlier, the first major upset of the tournament took place when Mexico's frenetic counter-attacking football saw them stun defending champions Germany 1-0 at the Luzhniki Stadium.
