The man who died in a gun attack at Bray Boxing Club on Tuesday morning has been named as 50-year-old Bobby Messitt from Kilmacanogue.

The other two men, who have been hospitalised, are aged 35 and 57.

Bobby was an innocent victim in the shooting this morning at Bray Boxing Club and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

After viewing CCTV in the area, Gardaí have appealed for information on a silver coloured Volkswagen Caddy with Northern Irish plates which is believed to be the getaway vehicle.

They are appealing for witnesses to contact Bray Garda Station on 01 6665300.
