Warriors confirm Iguodala to miss NBA Finals opener

"But at the end of the day, they are both great, great players". Even with that being said, the 10-year veteran is looking forward to making his finals debut for the Wine & Gold after beginning the year with the struggling Sacramento Kings. The Cavaliers... that brings us to our next question. It's why Tristan Thompson has been plugged back into the starting five and why Jeff Green continues to play heavy minutes round after round. Likewise, Kyrie Irving might be correct in asserting that Cleveland would've beat the Warriors in 2015 if not for injuries to himself and Kevin Love. Both teams needed to survive Game 7s on the road to win their conference championships, winning those clinchers in shorthanded fashion - no Andre Iguodala for Golden State, no Kevin Love for Cleveland.

Had they kept him, he wouldn't have played in the postseason.

Aside from the repetition, there is a fear that this series will be one-sided with the defending-champion Warriors significant favorites over LeBron James, who comes in with his least-respected Cavaliers squad.

How the Warriors can win: Take care of the basketball. But injuries happen. Curry, Durant, Thompson and Draymond Green all missed time this season, as did key reserve Patrick McCaw. He's taller, he's a better defender, and his offensive game is more well-rounded. In the playoffs that hasn't changed, with 35 percent of Cleveland's shots coming from beyond the arc (second highest percentage of playoff teams).

So when James eventually writes the book of his life, he said he's going to give the Warriors a nod.

China slams USA for 'sudden flip-flops' in trade policy
Hua stressed Beijing is not afraid of engaging in a trade war, and will take "forceful" measures if the tariffs are imposed. The White House has said it will impose 25% tariffs on $50bn worth of Chinese imports "shortly" after mid-June.

LeBron James #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers reacts after being hit in the face in the first half against the Boston Celtics during Game Two of the 2018 NBA Eastern Conference Finals at TD Garden on May 15, 2018 in Boston, Massachusetts. None of those guys are back this season.

James pointed out that the Warriors are oozing with talent even beyond that, including Shaun Livingston, who was the fourth overall pick in the 2004 draft, and David West, a two-time All-Star.

Remember how concerned the Celtics were with getting back to deal with the Cavaliers' transition game? Then there are the newcomers such as George Hill, Larry Nance Jr., and Jordan Clarkson - those guys are going to have to step up and have big series on a stage they have never been on before.

"He's been there before in those moments and (you) just get injured sometimes, freakishly", D'Antoni said.
