Stacker Pentecost Idris Elba has been tapped to play the villain in the upcoming Fast and Furious spinoff movie, Hobbs and Shaw.

The film will also star Jason Statham and should see the franchise's solid run of films continue if the confidence of The Rock himself is anything to go by. Last October Tyrese Gibson slammed Johnson for supposedly delaying the release of Fast 9 and, instead, pushing up Hobbs and Shaw's premiere date.

Hobbs and Shaw will hit theaters July 26, 2019. The actor's recent credits include In the Long Run, Avengers: Infinity War, Thor: Ragnarok, Molly's Game, and The Dark Tower. Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is on board to helm, with Johnson and Statham reprising their roles as special agent Luke Hobbs and criminal mastermind Deckard Shaw, respectively. I promised we were going to make this Fast & Furious spin off awesome and grow our franchise properly. The script was written by Chris Morgan, who has been involved with the series since its inception, having written six of the eight installments for the Universal franchise.

Chris Brown ‘arrested seconds after closing’ Florida concert on outstanding warrant
Singer Chris Brown was arrested Thursday night in Florida, where he was performing as part of a nationwide tour. Brown was taken into custody Thursday night following his performance at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre.

Johnson will produce alongside Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia through Seven Bucks Productions. But The Rock tweeted about the news on Thursday afternoon: "He's a baaaaaad man".

Are you excited to see Elba and Johnson face off in a Fast & Furious movie? "Every hero is only as good as their villain".
