ESPN reports that forward Jonas Jerebko intends to sign with the Warriors on Tuesday (AEST) if he clears waivers.

Jerebko signed a two-year, $8.2 million deal with the Jazz last offseason. According to Basketball Insiders, Utah had until July 9 to guarantee the contract, worth $4.2 million, or waive him.

Die In Canada Heat Wave
The number of dead grew each day this week, and even yesterday, there were 17 deaths today, the toll reached 33 people. Quebec health officials say at least 50 people are now believed to have died from heat-related complications.

Jerebko, 31, would provide even more firepower to the Warriors' already deep bench, and his 3-point accuracy (41.4 percent last season) would make him a flawless fit in Golden State's offense. Jerebko averaged a little over 15 minutes per game with the Jazz in 2017-18, and is likely to be included in the Warriors' bench units that traditionally play at the beginning of the second and fourth quarters. The 31-year-old is a 36.3 percent shooter from distance for his career and hit 41.4 percent of his 3-pointers coming off the Jazz bench last season.

In 74 regular season games for the Jazz a year ago, Jerebko averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
