Keri Russell May Join 'Star Wars: Episode IX'

The actress, who just finished six seasons of The Americans and is well-known for playing the title role in Felicity, is reportedly in talks for an action-oriented role in Star Wars Episode IX, according to Variety. Russell and Abrams last collaborated on 2006s “Mission: Impossible III.”. Abrams, who created her series Felicity, which ran from 1998-2002.

Some fans speculate Russell may play Rey's mother in a flashback and, given the circumstances in which Rey was left, you can assume there will be some fighting involved.
