Many legal experts also believe that Cohen may be ready to "flip" on Trump and cooperate with Robert Mueller's separate investigation into Trump. He declined to answer the question "under advice of my counsel".

Actor-comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has posted a teaser for a new project that appears to take on US President Donald Trump.

Former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg was significantly more straight-forward in his response about the meeting, telling MSNBC in March that Trump "may have done something during the election" and that the president lied when claiming not to know about the meeting.

But he also did nothing to dampen such speculation, taking issue with some of Trump's criticisms of the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation and even going out of his way to praise the FBI.

Chris Sosa is the Senior Editor at AlterNet.

In his first interview since the Federal Bureau of Investigation raids, Cohen was asked about his loyalty to Trump. He also told Vanity Fair, "I'm the guy who would take a bullet for the president", adding, "I'd never walk away".

Michael Avenatti, Daniels' attorney, said earlier this week that Cohen's "loyalties still lie with the president".

Donald Trump's former lawyer has removed all references to Donald Trump from his social media biographies.

A day after he tweeted "I will always protect my POTUS" in April, the FBI raided his home, office and hotel room as part of a probe by federal prosecutors in NY into his business dealings.

Islamic State leader's son killed in operation against Russians
The offensive in southwestern Syria has shattered a year-long truce brokered by Russian Federation , the United States and Jordan. The network said the weapons included Israeli and USA -made arms and communication devices.

At the center of the Cohen investigation is a $130,000 payment he facilitated to porn star Stormy Daniels, weeks before the 2016 presidential election, in an attempt to keep her quiet about her alleged 2006 affair with Trump.

"I want to answer".

Stephanopoulos said he asked Cohen repeatedly if he was considering cooperating with prosecutors in their investigation. "Once I understand what charges might be filed against me, if any at all, I will defer to my new counsel, Guy Petrillo, for guidance", he said.

Petrillo did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Cohen, in an interview with ABC, indicated he would be cooperative with prosecutors investigating his business dealings and probes into Russian meddling in the 2016 US election.

"I don't like the term 'witch hunt, '" Cohen was quoted as saying.

It describes him as "Personal Attorney to President Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization". "I respect the Federal Bureau of Investigation as an institution, as well as their agents", Cohen said.

Cohen is also reportedly ending a joint defense agreement with Trump, which allowed the two parties' lawyers to share information with each other.

He also told ABC he did not agree with Trump's recent tweet repeating Vladimir Putin's claim that Russian Federation did not interfere in the election. "I respect our nation's intelligence agencies'. unanimous conclusions".
