Djokovic came back strongly after the third set debacle, producing an outstanding performance, the World No.1 sent winners from all angles and beat World No. 2 Nadal 6-2, 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-1 in a match chock-full of lengthy and fascinating points to earn the first U.S. Open championship of his career.

In what was described as a "sensationally high-quality match", Djokovic edged past Nadal after an intense five-hour, 14-minute match that took place over a two-day period due to Wimbledon curfews.

Kevin Anderson will face off against Novak Djokovic in the men's final at Wimbledon, and one thing is for sure: Both men are going to be incredibly sore coming in.

Djokovic, 31, has won 12 majors but has struggled for form and fitness since claiming the 2016 French Open.

Though Nadal and Federer fans will no doubt have loved the past 18 months, it had become a little bit of a bore of them just rotating who would ease to Grand Slam titles.

In an interview with Forbes, Djokovic admitted that his diet includes the occasional fish, but credited plant-based eating for helping him be a top athlete:"Eating vegan makes me more aware of my body on the court... more alert".

"I don't know what to say, it feels like a draw". Anderson's win over John Isner lasted 6 1/2 hours and went to 26-24 in the fifth set.

"I really hope we can look at this and address this because in the end you don't even feel that great out there", the eighth seed said.

Maxine Clark, the founder of the "Build-A-Bear" experience, was once asked the secret of the company's success. It said the goal is to better control traffic at the stores and prevent long lines and significant wait times.

"I believe that strongly, for our sport to continue to have as many people as possible watching".

The match lasted almost five hours and it's the longest between the two players on clay.

Anderson is contesting his second Grand Slam final, having lost to Nadal in straight sets at the 2017 US Open on his only previous appearance in the title match at a major. Anderson still returned Isner's next lob, then switched the racket from his left hand to his right before finishing off the point. The penultimate of those ultimately helped him to the only non-tiebreak victory of the first four sets, and the last allowed him to finally get a leg up on Isner in the final stanza.

However, soon after Djokovic had gone on social media to show he had been reduced to playing a game of marbles on the locker room floor - a message punctuated with three laughing emojis - Anderson delivered the knockout blow to reach the Wimbledon final at the 10th time of asking.

"I think to get this match out of the way, to give the victor the opportunity of recovering for the final". By the close of play on Friday night, where Djokovic led by two sets to one, they had both won 107 points apiece.

The 12th-seeded Serb broke back immediately with a dipping forehand but Nadal replied with another break which proved decisive as he levelled the match.

"I think it's long overdue".
