Country's Prime Minister automatically becomes the Patron-in-Chief of PCB and with Imran set to hold the office, he is expected to bring some changes in the functioning of the cricket's governing body. He was delighted after Imran Khan was elected the Prime Minister of Pakistan and congratulated him with a special message which read, "Congratulating the new Prime Minister of our Country". In the footage, the BBC showed Akram demolishing a batsman's stumps instead of showing the right-handed all-rounder in action.

Eagle-eyed viewers picked up on the error and the programme apologised on Twitter.

In the meantime, a Twitter-user posted a tweet about BBC blunder and tagged Shaniera Thompson, the wife of Wasim Akram.

Wasim Akram, unlike Imran Khan, has remained linked to cricket since his retirement and spends much of his time commentating on the game.
