The former Real Madrid hitman also said stressed that he saw a very limited action from Neymar on the pitch.

The Spanish club posted a statement on their website saying they have no plans to make any offer for the Brazil worldwide, who has a contract with the French champions until 2022.

"The two clubs enjoy an excellent relationship and, as such, if Real Madrid were at any stage to consider securing the services of a PSG player, they would approach the club in the first instance".

"At least that's what is being said in Brazil", the site claimed.

"The Brazilian has a contract until 2022 with Paris Saint-Germain, and the refusal of president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to allow his star to exit is resounding", Marca reports.

"To sign someone now to score 50 or 60 goals is going to be hard, no other player can guarantee that as Ronaldo has in these last nine years".

He played three seasons in Sacramento and during his previous year there, he played under Denver's coach Mike Malone. The Kings selected Thomas in the second round (60th overall) in the 2011 draft out of the University of Washington.

"Real Madrid has not made any kind of offer to PSG or the player".

The European champions have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazil forward as a big-name replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Juventus in a deal worth €100m (£88m/$117m) plus €12m (£10.5/$14m) in additional charges .

Real have now issued an official statement making their position on the 26-year-old forward clear though.

"Now, PSG is reportedly willing to offer him a salary in the region of Lionel Messi's, the world's highest paid player at 50 million euros per year", says, quoting no source in particular. But the Parisian club are hoping this new salary offer will prevent him from wanting to leave.

"I asked him five years ago and he explained that on many occasions when he's kicked he reacts in that way so that the blow isn't greater", Ronaldo explained.
