Juventus great Gianluigi Buffon would be happy if Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo signed for the Serie A champions and believes it would be a great signing for Italian football.

Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, has presented the offer to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez who must now decide whether to accept or reject it, per El Chiringuito (h/t Football Italia).

Buffon said it was those goals, and not Ronaldo potentially joining the club after his departure, that hurt.

Ronaldo enjoyed a brief break after Madrid's Champions League success, before helping Portugal into the knockout stage in Russian Federation.

Speaking to beIN Sports, Ronaldo said immediately following the 3-1 victory in Kiev: "In the coming days there will be an answer about my future for the fans, who have always been by my side".

Juventus have emerged as surprise frontrunners to sign the 33-year-old this summer following reports that he is unhappy at the Bernabeu and eager for a new challenge.

Johnny Depp sued by 'City of Lies' crew member over alleged attack
When Brooks didn't react to the punches, Depp supposedly said, "I will give you $100,000 to punch me in the face right now". Brooks claims the incident occurred while working on a scene from the film with Depp in downtown L.A.in April of 2017.

Los Blancos have a new manager installed but Ronaldo has been strongly reported with a move out the exit door too.

Mendes has also given his view on the potential transfer, per Record (h/t TalkSport).

"I know him well, I know that when he makes a decision, he does so knowing all the consequences".

Despite the fact Ronaldo is heading towards the end of his career he has shown few signs of slowing down.

Whether they will get to watch Ronaldo in a Juventus shirt next season still remains to be seen.

Lopetegui included Odriozola in his Spain squad for this summer's World Cup, but the San Sebastian-born full-back did not feature in any of the team's four matches as they were knocked out at the last-16 stage.
